[ He could be mistaken, but it seemed like the place spruced itself up as they walked through town. Dim dusty windows stayed dark, but the glass cleaned itself off, making the storefronts look closed, but not abandoned. And up ahead there were actual working streetlights! He was never going to get used to this place. ]

So. How did a nice girl like you end up in a place like this?

((Date post for Dokugaku and Kougyoku! If anybody wants to run into them, please post in a new subthread. Thanks!))

[He just knows it had to be his brother, doesn't he? If only Kougyoku knew...]

[She wasn't un-excited, in fact she was very excited by the whole ordeal. At first she thought he was this suave guy, now he looking like he had a cute playful side to him. She blinked at the sight of the tacky marquee, chuckling a little to herself]

It looks like something that'd be on the outside of a brothel.

[ "One guy with Sanzo"? It sure wasn't Hakkai! ]

[ He's everybody's big brother, even when he's trying to be that suave sexy guy. He just can't help it. ]

Oh, you can't judge it by that!

[ He didn't recognize the titles on the marquee, but did it really matter? They'd be perfect for this date, whatever they were, because that's how this place worked. Right? ]

Come on, I'll buy you some chocolates.

[ Inside was big, and glitzy, and covered in brass and red velvet. Horribly tacky, like the best theaters all are, with framed posters lining the walls for movies that never existed. The whole place smells of stale popcorn and carpet cleaner, and the lights are so dim it's hard to see all the way down the hall.

There's nobody at the ticket booth, or the concessions stand, and there's nobody in the projection booth, but the sounds of previews are echoing through the open theater door way down on the left. Guess this place runs on automatic!

[Wow, she couldn't help but wince at the decor. Not that she was 'better' then any of it, she probably really belonged in this atmosphere.]

Mm, chocolates? That sounds great.

[She tilted her head, smiling at the idea. It was rare that she got to sample something that sweet.]
